4 Weeks ending April 7, 1998 A.D.-
Mainstreet, GA Theater, Chameleon,
Dear Diary,
Athens, Athens, Athens. Kill, kill, kill. As in killer. As in time. As in moooove. And shake, shake, shake.
Thanks, fellow Athenians with a none-too-Spartan attitude for making the Theater once again a groove thang. I think we sold more advance tickets than any previous show. Our new designer cologne, Eau de Sweatte Garcons, must be working SERIOUS magic.
I must make special mention of one Athens fan, Jim Fletcher. Jim is a great Web designer who took it upon himself to create an 80's player for our site! It is a very kewl thang, and will be up and running in the next week or so. Jim's work is as good as it gets. Visit his business site, thewebguys.com, if you ever need any design assistance. Plus there are alot of free tools and links for the web couturiers, even.
Paradox: eagles were flying high, yet in a deep groove at the same time. Yes, talking 'bout the Supper Club. Suppertime is always great, and it was a rowdy bunch that met us in the pit and beyond. I was transported a few times but fell back to earth. Tony and Mark broke the fall, but I think they got a headache. Thanks, all.
The Ivory was cool, too. I saw alot of new faces there along with old ones- warrant and truant officers, psychics, tax auditors, Methuselah, and babe-alicious among them. I was hoping the officials were looking for someone else, but their pupils dilated every time they looked at me. That's the sort of weird body language that worries my young ass.
At the Sigma Chi house at Auburn I thought we were all going to have to leave in pairs and haul ass to the boat. Rain such as that has never been upon us, ever. Torrents is too weak a word. But while the load-in and out were some sort of guerilla training mission (thru no fault of the SIGs), the party itself was a gas. Drip-ping with fun if no sun. I saw alot of Supperians there. Hail!
