Dear Diary,

Hey, little queenie.

So anyway, we were at the Sports Rock in Montgomery, home of an old girlfriend, Jimmy Dunham of the Montgomery Independent, and the fabulous Sports Rock Cafe. It was a week ago last Thursday, it was, and there were Montgomery's finest (no, not the police) out there again to see us guys. To be frank (or Bob), up until we found the Sports Rock, Montgomery had been a desert in the otherwise green valley known as Alabama. That is to say we had not found a club that was the right fit (9 1/2 C) in all the beers- oops, years- we have been together. But that was fixed the moment we stepped in there last June. There were lots of locals, as well as Auburn and Tuscaloosa students we have seen befo. Even more than the first time. We were quite pleased. Our relatives phoned us to congratulate us.

Montgomery, we'll be back, and thank youuuu!!!

O Chammy Club, O Chammy Club, we came back and played the Chammy Club. It was great to get back to Hotlantatata. It was Friday. It was the summer. It was hot and sweaty and fun. It was a great deposit in between the withdrawals of life. Good to see you, everybody. We will send special citations to all those who made it out of there and our condolences to the relatives of those who died.

It was suppertime once again last nite at the War Damn Eagle Supper Club. We fed off the crowd, the crowd fed off us- you could say it was a regular feeding frenzy. By the time we poured ourselves at 4:00 into our RV , Mom, we were vegetables.We whined, the crowd dined, it was fine. Better than Morrison's. Better even than Piccadilly. Left us in a pickle. A sweet pickle.

Auburn, we love ya. You taste so good.

Then it's only a few weeks from September and a hells-a-poppin schedule.
